Damien Féron is Director of Research at the French Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission (CEA) and Professor at the National Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology (INSTN). He has been elected Vice-President of the European Federation of Corrosion (EFC) and chairs the EFC working party on nuclear corrosion. He was awarded the Grande Médaille by the French Anti-Corrosion Centre (CEFRACOR) in 2007 and received a NACE Fellow award in 2009

Moutrille Marie-Pierre EDF-DTG

Biography

Marie-Pierre Moutrille holds a PhD in Mechanics and Materials and a Mechanical Engineering degree from the French Institute for Advanced Mechanics (IFMA). She has been involved in FAC management at EDF since 2009, providing support to nuclear power plant operators. She is currently in charge of the General Technical Division’s FAC team and heads the team in charge of alloy measurements in pipe components and valves at NPPs, as well as overseeing the work of contractors that apply DTG procedures. She also contributes significantly to the development of BRT-CICERO™ by drafting technical specifications.

Trevin Stéphane EDF-DTG

Biography

Stéphane Trevin holds a PhD in chemistry and an MS degree in biochemistry. He has worked for EDF since 1998. His first position was with EDF R&D, working in the area of organic electrosynthesis. He has been involved in FAC management for NPPs and fossil-fuel plants for the past 10 years. He has written technical specifications for BRT-CICERO™ versions 3 and 4, as well as contributing to a number of publications. He was formerly in charge of the FAC team at EDF’s General Technical Division, providing support to NPPs from 2010 to 2015. Today he acts as a corrosion expert for the department. His fields of expertise are thermodynamics, hydraulics and chemistry.

Caylar Paul EDF-DTG

Biography

Paul Caylar graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers as a mechanical engineer. He has been a member of EDF’s General Technical Division since 2011. He is in charge of the FAC monitoring trial currently being performed in fossil-fuel and GCC plants that use BRT-CICERO™, as well as coordinating the implementation of the FAC maintenance program. He is also involved in the development of advanced NDE techniques. He supports NPP operators by providing advice and modelling new lines susceptible to these issues.

Biography

Damien Delacoux is a graduate of the European School of Materials Science and Engineering in Nancy (France) and the University of Saarland (Germany). He has been a member of EDF’s General Technical Division since 2011. He is in charge of the application and development of innovative NDE inspections for FAC-affected welds and complex geometries in NPPs. Not only does he monitor and oversee their application out in the field, he also provides on-site support and semi-automatic tool development to end-users of BRT-CICERO™ FAC-prediction software.

Biography

J.F. Coste has a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne and Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon.
He was appointed in 1997 as research engineer at EDF R&D in Fontainebleau where he worked on material ageing of primary circuit components.
In 2004 he moved to CHOOZ Nuclear Power Plant at the French-Belgian border. He has worked there for two years as maintenance engineer on primary circuit components and was then appointed as Head of the Inspection unit, responsible for the surveillance of pressurised components.
In 2011 he has moved to UNIE, a corporate engineering unit of the Nuclear Production Division. Since then, he is since in charge of the maintenance of the balance-of-plant main components (condensers, high and low pressure feedwater exchangers, moisture separator reheater).

Biography

Jinane Tarabay holds a PhD in Process Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines, having focused her research on the processing and high temperature oxidation of composites. She works at EDF Generation’s Nuclear Engineering Division in France as a research engineer/project lead in the area of Flow Accelerated Corrosion.

She has accumulated skills in the fields of corrosion and materials (including metals, alloys, ceramics and composites) and expertise in nuclear energy, aqueous corrosion and, first and foremost, FAC degradation.

Monchecourt Dorian EDF-CEIDRE

Biography

Dorian Monchecourt is a graduate of the National Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology (INSTN). After spending six years in the maintenance department of an EDF coal-fired plant, he moved to national nuclear maintenance in 2006, working primarily at CEIRDRE, EDF’s materials expertise and inspection department. He spent his first six years at CEIRDRE in charge of on-site replica inspections and televisual examinations for EDF NPPs. Since 2012, he has mostly been involved in the development of innovative inspection systems for NPPs.
