Biography

Julia Gath (PhD Phys. Chem.) graduated from ETH Zurich with a PhD in physical chemistry. After her doctors thesis she joined SWAN in 2015. Since then she has been working in the R&D group with focus on electrical chemistry instruments.

Gipon Elodie EDF, France

Biography

Elodie Gipon has an MSc in Nuclear Engineering from Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne (2015). She has made block-release training with EDF’s General Technical Division (DTG) for 3 years and she is now working with EDF DTG FAC team. She contributes to improving performance of BRT-CICEROTM software by performing computational fluid dynamics calculations and she is providing training and support to nuclear power plant operators.

Gong Yi SNERDI, China

Biography

Dr. Yi GONG received B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science from Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in 2007 and 2012 respectively. In 2012, he joined Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute (SNERDI), where he is now serving as the senior engineer responsible for ageing and life management of nuclear power plants. He joined the SNERDI FAC team in 2013, which is the Chinese representative in the IAEA FAC CRP, and performed benchmarking of CHECWORKS.

Biography

Tom is a research scientist in Sonomatic’s Integrity/Engineering team. Before joining Sonomatic, he earned a degree in physics and a PhD in astrophysics from the University of Manchester. Tom is involved with the research and development of new scanning techniques and algorithms, as well as data analysis, software development and statistical interpretation of inspection results.
